Pediatrics

First visit

Your child will develop their first tooth during the first 6-12 months of their life. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and The American Academy of Pediatrics states that the first dental visit should occur within 6 months after the baby’s first tooth appears, but no later than the child’s first birthday. During your child’s first visit, we spend time reviewing pediatric oral hygiene, home care, and ways to prevent your child from getting tooth decay.

Sealants

Sealants are a preventive dental service that helps prevent cavities in premolars and molars by blocking plaque, tartar, and bacteria from getting into deep pits and fissures.

Restorative

Occasionally kids develop cavities on baby teeth. Untreated decay can develop into painful and dangerous infections which can damage permanent teeth and increase the need for future orthodontics. Our dentists have experience treating all ages and offer nitrous oxide, or “laughing gas,” for most kids.
