Oral Surgery and Implants

Implants

Dental implants replace one or more missing teeth with a post placed in the jawbone to create a stable foundation for oral health and function. With the use of our 3-D digital x-ray and imaging system, the placement of implants is done with expertise, precision, and success.

Sirona ORTHOPHOS XG 3D Imaging

Sirona ORTHOPHOS XG 3D Imaging technology, an advanced type of digital radiography provides our dentists with a 3-dimensional digital image of your entire mouth, even areas that are not commonly visible to the human eye like the structures beneath your teeth and gums. The model even includes teeth roots and internal canals.

Scans take only seconds, limiting your exposure to radiation. There is no doubt that this technology is a great improvement over standard x-rays.

Sirona ORTHOPHOS XG 3D Imaging – CEREC INTEGRATION (GCI)

The tools available with this technology enable us to reduce the risk of treatments as well as plan surgical care with more accuracy. Along with CEREC®, the implant placement is guided by the optimal placement of final restoration. The final restoration is designed on CEREC, which is then imported into ORTHOPHOS XG 3D software. Here this information is used to plan precise placement of implants. These scans are also used to fabricate surgical guides that reduce surgery time and are very accurate.

Extractions

A tooth that is beyond repair, causes pain, or is infected may need to be removed by extraction to avoid future health problems. With extractions, we recommend replacing the tooth with bone grafting material to preserve the jaw bone.

Wisdom-teeth extractions

We offer third-molar (wisdom-tooth) extractions. With our 3-D digital imaging system and options for sedation, we are confident in our wisdom teeth expertise.
